Testing of Nucleosides and Nucleotides

Nucleotides are a class of compounds consisting of three substances: bases, pentose, and phosphate. Nucleotides can enhance the palatability of feeds and can promote immunity. The intake of nucleotides in the diet of livestock can enhance immunity and also affect the proliferation of intestinal probiotics. Nucleotides in fertilizers can improve the absorption capacity of plant roots, promote plant physiological metabolism, and increase improve the chlorophyll content of plant leaves and promote photosynthesis. Significantly improve crop yield and quality, but also considerably improve the resistance of crops to stress.

Nucleotide structure

The control of nucleosides and nucleotides in feed and fertilizers is closely related to product quality. Lifeasible provides analytical services for the control and analysis of nucleosides and nucleotides in finished feed and fertilizer products and processes to a wide range of customers. We use high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) with a new high-precision instrument for sample separation and a DAD detector for identification to efficiently and accurately detect a wide range of nucleotides in feed and fertilizers.

General analytical procedures

General analytical procedures - Lifeasible

We keep a complete chart of the experimental procedure and results, and the final project report for our clients includes chromatograms, quantitative results tables, and standard curves.

Our advantages

  • Wide range of applications. We can analyze over 70% of organic compounds in many types of feed and fertilizer samples by HPLC.
  • High separation efficiency. The separation efficiency is many times higher than that of industrial distillation columns and gas chromatography, and the nucleotides to be detected can be wholly separated and quantified better.
  • Fast separation speed. It takes only 15-30 min.
  • High sensitivity. Up to 0.01 ng and more resistant to matrix interference.
  • Simultaneous separation of multiple substances. One column can separate up to 100 components at the same time.
  • Low sample volume and easy recovery. The sample volume is in the order of μL and is not destroyed after passing through the column.

HPLC is currently the most widely used analytical technique. Lifeasible uses the HPLC method to identify and separate feed and fertilizer samples for efficient and accurate quantitative analysis of nucleoside and nucleotide components.
