Production of Recombinant Phytase

Production of Recombinant Phytase

Phytase is a new feed additive that can be used in all monogastric animal feeds. The addition of phytase to feed can save phosphorus resources, reduce feed costs, and improve feed utilization and animal performance. At the same time, it can also greatly reduce the amount of phosphorus excreted in animal manure and reduce the phosphorus pollution in rivers and waters, and other environments. It has great economic benefits and good social and ecological benefits.

Lifeasible can construct a recombinant bioreactor for efficient expression of phytase and industrialize cheap production of phytase through the fermentation method. To solve the current problem of the high cost of phytase production and difficulty in promoting an application in feed.

  • Screening for natural phytase-producing bacteria with more excellent properties.
  • The gene encoding phytase can be isolated and cloned from them, and the phytase gene can be modified at the molecular level.
  • The yeast with good safety and an easy fermentation process was used as the recipient bacteria.
  • Constructed recombinant yeast with more than one thousand times higher expression per unit than the natural strain.
  • Established the production process of phytase production by high-density fermentation of recombinant yeast and the enzyme post-processing process.
  • Help customers establish quality standards and use standards for phytase products.

Thermal stability improvement of phytase

We can use genetic engineering to perform targeted mutation of E. coli phytase gene appA to obtain phytase gene mutants. And after expression in yeast, the thermal stability of the mutant was significantly improved compared with wild-type appA. Subsequently, we can continue the high-density fermentation of recombinant yeast expressing this enzyme. By controlling the fermentation process, the bacterium can grow to a certain density and thus achieve efficient expression.

Phytase gene engineering expression system we provide

  • pET expression system. With 6 histidine tags, it is easy to isolate and purify the target protein, etc.
  • Aspergillus niger expression system. Clear research background, high expression, and high safety.
  • Pichia pastoris expression system. Contains specific loci and tags for easy integration, screening, expression, and protein detection and purification of exogenous target genes.

Phytase fermentation production

We can perform phytase production by fermentation of strains with phytase-producing properties. This is generally done by using low-cost solid components as media, inoculating with microbial strains capable of producing phytase, and fermenting them to obtain phytase. This can greatly reduce your production cost.

Our technical advantages

  • Higher unit expression of phytase and lower production cost. The phytase produced by our recombinant bioreactor is more than two times higher than the genetically engineered Aspergillus that is currently used for the industrial production of phytase, and the production cost is lower. The cost of adding phytase to feed can be lower than the cost of adding inorganic phosphorus, thus reducing feed cost.
  • The nature of the phytase is excellent. Compared with the current commercially produced phytase, it has better pH characteristics and better feeding effectiveness. Moreover, our production system is simple and easy to use, and the process is mature and stable.

Phytase has been widely used as a feed additive in production and processing. Lifeasible is perfecting the technology to produce phytase inexpensively for industrial use in feeds. We express phytase efficiently by the recombinant microbial reactor, especially high-specific activity phytase, to improve its fermentation efficiency and further reduce production costs. to improve fermentation efficiency and further reduce production costs.
